Longines Vintage REF. 5631 – CALIBRO 27M

RARE ELEGANT VINTAGE WATCH FROM 1947 – STAINLESS STEEL CASE – EXTRACT FROM THE LONGINES ARCHIVES. We offer an interesting and authentic vintage LONGINES piece, reference 5631, made in the second half of the 1940s and officially documented in the historical archives of the Saint-Imier Maison. This is an elegant hand-wound wristwatch, featuring a refined stainless steel case measuring approximately 35 mm in diameter, proportions that still feel very comfortable on the wrist today, and a beautiful silvered dial (sector dial) with a distinctive peripheral scale, Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9, and a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock. The heart of the watch is the prestigious LONGINES caliber 27M mechanical movement, hand-wound, serial number 7.149.303. The most interesting aspect of this piece is the presence of the original LONGINES “Extract from the Archives,” issued by the Saint-Imier-based watchmaker on August 18, 2026. Watch History: invoiced on May 21, 1947, to the Girod company, which at the time was a Longines subsidiary for Spain. This documentation constitutes a valuable historical element for the watch and allows us to connect the piece to the documentation preserved in the Longines archives. Also particularly interesting is the reference to the original destination of the Girod company for Spain, which adds a further piece to the commercial history of the watch.
